Join me on my journey!
My reiki journey has been such an adventure. Growing up in a strict religious environment, I was hesitant to pursue anything that wasn’t related to science. Getting my toe in the water was difficult, but once I decided to try it out, I was fully in, and haven’t looked back. I started my reiki business as the first big step towards my calling as a healer. My hands and body are sensitive to other’s energies and it feels highly fulfilling to assist others in their journey of healing. Unlike all my other work professions, the deeper I go, the more I know this is the right path for me.
When I asked my father if my Japanese heritage included samurai warriors, I was disappointed when he said that I come from a line of Shinto priests; it didn’t sound as cool. Then I realized that I have zen ancestors! I’ve had glimpses that I’m continuing work from past lifetimes. So there’s this sense of playing catch up to knowledge I already know, and continuing where I left off.
This path has taken me to manny different places, and unique experiences! Starting my own business in itself was full of learning experiences. The paperwork, figuring the business structure, and really putting myself out there. I had to reach out and ask for support in ways I haven't done before. You find out a lot about yourself and others when you do this!
Even with an unrelenting internal drive to build up a practice, there was a lot of uncertainty, doubt, and so much stepping out of my comfort zone. I thought after the first year, things would be smooth sailling. But the second year is like parenting a toddler instead of a baby, if you know what I mean. Each state of (business) growth comes with its own unique set of experiences! I've been blessed with reiki clients, being asked to particpate in health fairs, podcasts, corporate events, to lead a meditation at a women's conference, and more!
Thus far, I’ve completed my reiki master training, was introduced to metaphysics in terms of chakra readings, developing my intuition, reading past lives, space clearing, crystals, pendulums, mediumship, motoki (earth energy), sound bowls, and more! My thirst for knowledge continues even today - I was recently accepted into the Somatic Experiencing Practitoner Program. I find I really enjoy life when I find a teacher that I connect with and they expand my world. My logical brain enjoys learning the ins and outs of running a business, my creative side enjoys the fluidity of energy work, and my deep sense of satisfaction comes from connecting with others in the safe, protected space of a reiki session.
Having gone through much shadow work (and continue to embrace self-development), my specialty is helping others energetically work through psychological/emotional issues, and big life transitions through clearing out stuck energies in the body. While an initial session typically includes a general whole-body cleansing, relaxation, and clearing the way back to yourself, subsequent sessions may include intuitive guidance towards what energies are stagnant in various areas of the body, and working through releasing the energies together. This provides a deeper healing experience. I work with where you are at, and tune in to what your higher self is asking for.
I started the community clinics as a way to provide low-cost energy work sessions to the community. The community 'energy work' gatherings are a place to bring people who have an interest in energy work to find each other and come together. When I first started my reiki practice, I didn't know any other people in San Jose who were interested in reiki! We work best when we have a supportive community and others we can connect with. I couldn’t be where I am today without supportive people in my life - thank you!!!
My motto is to help clients get back in tune with their true, authentic self through clearing and aligning energies in the body. Finding and understanding yourself; being able to embrace who you are and to live as your true and liberated self. This can be a one time session for relaxation and basic reconnection, or it can be an ongoing process as we delve deeper into your core being. How deep would you like to go? As my goal is to model the life I help clients to achieve, I find myself balancing time with family, work, friends, exercising, learning, tinkering, and quiet introspective time.
